LICENSING
Katydid Inc.’s Farm School preschool is licensed by Virginia’s Department of Educatio (VDOE). Standards for licensed programs address certain issues such as: health, play space, staff qualifications, staff-child ratios, program guidelines, record keeping, and building codes. Compliance with standards is determined by periodic visits to the site by a licensing agent. Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
The children in our care are appreciated and nurtured. If it is suspected that a child has been abused, neglected or exploited in any way, our program staff are required by law to report it to FCPA and Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS). The Youth Services Director of FCPA will then immediately make a report to Child Protective Services. Strict confidentially will be maintained.
